If you’re confused, you’re not the only one. But it will all make sense soon.
The original Capital One Savor Card had a $95 annual fee and earned 1% more per dollar spent on dining, entertainment and certain popular streaming services (including Hulu, Disney+ and Netflix) – 4% vs. 3% on the SavorOne.
The rest of the two cards were essentially the same.
Earlier this year, Capital One stopped accepting applications for the original $95 annual fee Savor cards, though if you had one, you could keep it (at least for now!).
Then, on October 22nd, 2024, Capital One refreshed the look and name of the SavorOne card – renaming it the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card.
Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card
Short term, this is confusing because there are two cards with the same name – the legacy Savor card that earns the 4% cash back on dining, entertainment and certain popular streaming services (including Hulu, Disney+ and Netflix) and the Savor Cards issues on or after October 22, 2024.
The new Savor card, called the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card aside from the new look of the card, is exactly the same as the SavorOne. If you had a SavorOne card, you now have a Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card.
Incidentally, the student version of the card, formerly known as the Savor One Student, is now the Capital One Savor Student Cash Rewards Credit Card.
Of note, the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card also has a 15 month 0% intro APR offer, which you can see the full terms of here.
They are also celebrating the relaunch with a higher Early Spend Bonus on the card.
For a limited time, earn a $250 cash bonus once you spend $500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.
Designed as a bit of a food lover’s card, the bonus categories for the Savor Cash Rewards card are:
- 8% cash back rewards on Capital One Entertainment purchases
- 5% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. Terms apply.
- 3% cash back on dining purchases
- 3% cash back on entertainment
- 3% cash back at grocery stores (excluding superstores like Walmart(R) and Target®)
- 3% cash back rewards on popular streaming services
- 1% everywhere else
And again, there is now no annual fee for the Savor card.
You can learn how to apply or check out the elevated bonus offer here.
Note: If you don’t qualify for the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card, you may be offered the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card for Good Credit instead. If this happens, you’ll still get the same card and bonus categories, but you won’t be eligible for new cardmember bonus cash or 0% intro APR offer.
