You may be eligible for as high as 300,000 Membership Rewards® Points after spending $20,000 in eligible purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months of Membership. Welcome offers vary and you may not be eligible for an offer. Find out your offer. Terms Apply.
Get 25% more Flying Blue when you transfer Membership Rewards® points through 6/30/2026.
I like this bonus more than you might think. With Tiffany Funk (former One Mile at a Time / Point.me) running the Flying Blue loyalty program, things are likely to improve. Right now, they have some really good award rates at times, though they often fluctuate into the absurd. 60,000 points for Business class to/from Europe from the US is solid, but the surcharges have gotten way out of control (about $600 one way).
Also, while Flying Blue miles expire, it’s a reasonable 24 months and any activity (such as a simple 1,000 point transfer in) will extend it. They used to have archaic rules where flight activity miles weren’t extended with other activity but they came to their senses a few months ago and it’s now simplified with all miles in one pool and all extended by any activity.
I will note, though, that when Air France is releasing space to partners, it’s much cheaper to book those flights using JAL Mileage Bank! I was able to book a one way from Paris to New York for just 42,000 JAL miles and less than $300 in taxes and fees. However, it’s *considerably* easier to earn American Express points than JAL so I really think this is worth your consideration. As always, run searches for what you actually might / will book before transferring!
Side note: The easiest way to earn JAL Mileage Bank miles are through Rove. You can get 1,500 Rove Miles with our exclusive partnership just by signing up using this link.
Get 20% more Marriott Bonvoy when you transfer Membership Rewards® points through 6/30/2026.
Please don’t do this. An American Express Membership Rewards point is worth more than three times a Bonvoy Point. You’d need around a 200% transfer bonus to be in the ballpark of equal value.
If you are curious, price out an award you are looking for at the Marriott Bonvoy website, compare against cash prices, and then see if it makes any sense. (It won’t in 99.99% of cases.) If you find an extreme edge case or just need to top up a few thousand points for an award you are close to, then it may make sense. Beyond that, we’ve seen historical credit card transfer bonuses to Marriott Bonvoy of up to 70% which are, I guess, at least a bit better?

Instant Transfers as well as solid transfer partners. The value would go up if they had any hotel partners with a fair exchange rate. ANA (an exception to instant transfers), Virgin, Air Canada and Avianca are top airline partners for maximizing your points. They can also transfer to Delta if you wish and while the rates aren't ideal, they can transfer to Marriott and Hilton as well. ANA provides almost unbeatable value for booking a Round the World flight all in Business Class. The stated value also assumes you will take advantage of transfer partners rather than book via their booking portal, where they are only worth between 1 and 1.5 cents. We've also created a Guide to American Express Membership Rewards.

Chase just ran a transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy, which ended on February 28, 2026, for 50%. This is unquestionably better, but it doesn’t change the math much on how I’d view this transfer bonus:
This is almost never a good transfer unless you are topping off for an award you are ready to book. Keep in mind that we value a Chase point at roughly 3X the value of a Marriott Bonvoy point.
However, there are always exceptions and you might find a 5 night stay (5th night free) where the transfer makes sense so do the math – but you likely do not want to transfer speculatively unless you are a Bonvoy pro and believe you will exceed value you can get via other transfer partners. Also keep in mind this transfer can take up to 48 hours.

The Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, and Ink Preferred all have the ability to transfer to airline and hotel partners. We use an average value that you can expect to get by utilizing your points for these transfer partners. In the Chase Travel℠ portal, Points Boost allows you to redeem for airfare or hotels with point values ranging from 1.5 - 2 cents depending on cabin class or hotel. Specific flights and hotels that appear in Point Boost vary. If you do not have at least one of these cards, Ultimate Rewards are worth exactly 1 cent per point. It's worth noting that some Capital One cards earn 2 miles per dollar on everything, making the 1.6 cent per mile value an understatement as you'd be earning a 3.2% yield on every day spend. However, this assumes you will learn how to utilize the Capital One airline and hotel transfer partners, most of which transfer 1:1. The minimum value is 1 cent when used to book travel in their portal or to cover previously paid for travel, however, our calculator assumes you will use Capital One's air and hotel transfer partners when calculating a 1.6 cent per point value. We also have a Guide to Capital One Miles.
