Key facts
Min. Credit Score for Approval:
Good *Ongoing APR:
18.49%-29.24% VariableForeign Transaction Fee:
2.7% of each transaction after conversion to US dollars. This transfer bonus is a bit unusual in that it seems that a relatively small number of people are targeted for the offer, those targeted are seeing 20%, 25%, or 30%, and there’s no stated end date (maybe just “when it’s gone, it’s gone”?). The “standard'” transfer rate is 2 Hilton points for 1 Amex point.
Note that this system doesn’t even allow me to list a transfer bonus without an expiration date (who’d have expected that?!) so I have it marked as expiring June 30th, 2025 just so that our Transfer Bonus Alerts subscribers will be notified. This is not the real expiration date.
Historically, which we can see in our master list of past transfer bonuses from Amex to Hilton, the offers tend to range from 25% -40% (with 40% being somewhat rare).
Depending on what you are targeted for, especially if it’s 30%, you may want to transfer some if you are rich in MR points and poor in Hilton points.
Despite the recent uproar about an unannounced devaluation which raised a bunch of properties above the old maximum of 150,000 points to a whopping 200,000 points, outsized value does remain in the program at high end properties including recently added SLH – Small Luxury Hotels – (many of which are still in the 95,000-120,000 point range) and, since all elites at any level get 5th night free and no resort fees on awards, the program isn’t one to ignore.
Aer Lingus has some sweet spots as well, like the US to Ireland for 13,000 – 16,250 Avios with no surcharges or 50,000 Avios – 62,500 Avios each way in Business Class. This would be if you find space on Aer Lingus metal. The lower pricing is from the East Coast, the higher is West Coast.
Combinable with other Avios programs like BA.
That said, generally you want to move your points to British Airways first for the most flexibility – since you can move from there to Finnair, which has some great redemptions, or Qatar (or Iberia).
See this post on the transfer bonus to British Airways Avios for more on the Finnair program.

There are identical transfer bonuses on now to both British Airways and Aer Lingus Avios and British Airways are the most common / easy to use and link directly with Qatar so there are few people that would want to transfer to Iberia directly.
They *just* ripped out their award charts to replace with new higher ones and the biggest Iberia Sweet Spot of US East Coast to Madrid in business class off peak for 34,000 Avios is now 40,500 Avios and at peak times it’s now 50,000 to 59,000 Avios. This is the 3,001–4,000 mileage band.
This still remains about the only award you would book with Iberia (you may find other instances where Iberia remains cheaper on its own metal) but keep in mind the biggest flaw of the Iberia program:
Award travel on partner airlines booked with Iberia Avios is non-refundable!!

Our review
The Business Green Rewards Card from American Express is clearly the “starter” card in the Amex ecosystem for small businesses looking for No Preset Spending Limit (which means your spending limit is flexible. Unlike a traditional card with a set limit, the amount you can spend adapts based on factors such as your purchase, payment, and credit history) without the heftier annual fees of the American Express® Business Gold Card or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.
However, with this card earning just 1 point per eligible dollar spent (2 points per dollar only for Flights & Prepaid Hotels booked on AmexTravel.com) and lacking any annual statement credits or rich benefits, we struggle to see the value in paying a $95 annual fee.
Although it doesn’t have No Preset Spending Limit, if you truly can’t make the annual fee work on the American Express® Business Gold Card or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express cards, then we would recommend The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express which earns 2x bonus points on all eligible purchases up to a $50,000 annual limit (1x on all eligible purchases thereafter) and has no annual fee.
If you need a much higher credit limit, then we’d advise considering the American Express® Business Gold Card or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express.
