    This is the no-fee version of the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card, with somewhat reduced benefits in exchange for not having an annual fee.

    The IHG credit card is best suited for spend at IHG properties where it earns IHG points at the rate of 5x IHG points per dollar (vs. 10x IHG points with the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card).

    What are the main benefits you give up to save that $89 annual fee?

    • You do not get automatic Platinum status. Instead you can earn Gold status with $10,000 in spend.
    • You do not get an anniversary free night certificate for up to 4,000 IHG points a night in value.
    • You do not get a once-per-four-years fee credit of up to $100 for Global Entry / PreCheck
    • You do not earn 10,000 bonus points when you spend $20,000 and then make one additional purchase in a calendar year.

    You do still get the 4th Night Free on an Award Stay benefit which is one of the best reasons to have either IHG credit card.

    • 5X per dollar spent at IHG properties.
    • It also earns 2x points at gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants.
