Card Features and Benefits:

You might think you need a PenFed membership to get this card, but you don't!

Let's take a closer look at the benefits, earn rate, and the PenFed Pathfinder Rewards system.

No Annual Fee; But Perks of a Card that Would Have One

This card offers some perks that are unusual for a card with no annual fee.

    • $100 Annual Credit towards Air Travel
    • $100 Global Entry or $85 TSA PreCheck Credit once every 5 years

PenFed Pathfinder Rewards Card Earn Rate

This card earns 4x points on all travel purchases if you are a PenFed Honors member (requires a PenFed checking account). But non-members still earn 3 points per dollar.

All other purchases earn 1.5 points per dollar spent.

PenFed Pathfinder Rewards Card Point Redemption

PenFed Rewards points vary in value from about 0.85 cents up to as much as 1.27 cents depending on how you use them. Hotel redemptions provide the most possible value for points.

PenFed Pathfinder Rewards Card Bottom Line

For a card with no annual fee, this card stacks up quite favorably to many of the more well known cards.

You will essentially earn around a 3% (or 4% with Honors membership) rebate on travel purchases + get the $100 annual travel credit all with no annual fee.

While it may not have been on your list before today, it may be worth more than a second look.
