Credit Cards That Earn Citi ThankYou Points
Looking for a credit card that earns Citi ThankYou Points?
Citi’s proprietary points – called ThankYou Points – are more valuable than you might think, especially if you’ve already collected a stockpile of Chase Ultimate Rewards points, American Express Membership Rewards points, and Capital One Miles.
The most popular Citi ThankYou credit cards include the Citi Premier, Citi Prestige, and Citi Rewards+ cards.
The Citi Double Cash is the hidden gem – offering 2% cash back on all purchases with the option to convert your cash into the ThankYou program at a 1:1 ration to transfer to airlines, with the one “catch” that you must also have a Premier or Prestige to transfer.
We’ll give you one quick taste: Turkish Miles&Smiles is a Citi ThankYou point transfer partner. No other bank point transfer to Turkish Miles&Smiles.
Miles&Smiles is in the Star Alliance (the same airline alliance as United Airlines) and has some amazing deals. For example, you can use 12,500 Turkish miles to fly one way from New York to Los Angeles or San Francisco in United Business Class or spend 45,000 miles one way from the US to Europe on United’s Business Class (all subject to United releasing “Saver” award availability, of course). You can, of course, also book award flights on Turkish, whose Business Class is highly rated, most notably for the onboard food and service although they have also begun a rather nice overhaul of the seats (the so-called “hard product”).
In addition, Avianca’s LifeMiles, Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club, and Cathay Pacific’s AsiaMiles can all be great redemtion opportunities for Citi ThankYou points.
