Ending on Nov 8, 2025 at 11L59pm ET, this is a pretty rare 20% transfer bonus opportunity if you are savvy with Qantas’ program. We only see three historical transfer bonuses to Qantas dating back to 2022 when we started recording them, two from Capital One and one from Amex. This is the first ever we can recall from Citi ThankYou.
The first thing you’ll want to see is the Qantas award chart as prices rose, significantly in some cases, in August of 2024. There are actually multiple charts: One for Qantas, Jetstar, Fiji Airways, Air Vanuatu, and American Airlines and another for Air France, Alaska Airlines, Bangkok Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Airlines, China Eastern, EL AL, Emirates, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, KLM, LATAM Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Air, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, SriLankan Airlines and WestJet.
And then there’s yet another for mixed oneworld awards.
The Qantas frequent flyer program tends to have very expensive rates, however, there are often times that they make First and Business Class seats from the US to Australia available with Qantas Frequent Flyer and not with partners. You may also find expanded availability with other partners – you’ll have to search but happily their search interface is pretty easy to use and provides calendar views.
You can also book Emirates First and Business class flights with Qantas. Compare against the Emirates Skywards program before transferring and don’t forget to check surcharges!
Valid for points transfers completed between 09/21/2025 12:01 AM ET and 10/18/2025 11:59 PM ET.
This bonus gives you 1.5 Miles&Smiles miles per point transferred on a Citi Strata Elite℠, Citi Strata Premier℠, Citi Prestige®, and AT&T Access More. Other eligible ThankYou cards will get 1.5 Miles&Smiles miles per point (up from 1.05 normally). Interestingly, this gives n0-annual fee Citi ThankYou family cardholders a unique opportunity to get a 1:1 (actually slightly better!!) transfer ratio which could make this especially appealing to someone without a CitiThankYou card with an annual fee and who already understands the Miles&Smiles program.
We have seen one previous transfer bonus from Citi ThankYou to Turkish in mid-2024, though that was on the Turkish side and not as seamless.
Keep in mind:
The best use of Turkish miles now are for flights within North America (including Hawaii) on United or Air Canada. Note that this requires “Saver” inventory. Economy tickets are 10,000 miles and Business Class tickets are 15,000 miles each way. You can also fly Business Class on Turkish for 65,000 miles from the US. They are in the Star Alliance.
If you found an award you wanted and were ready to book, this could be a really great deal. Think a US domestic business class award or just 10,000 ThankYou points or a US Istanbul award on Turkish metal for 43,333 Citi points. Transfers are *usually* instant, but there’s never a guarantee.
Valid for points transfers completed between 09/21/2025 12:01 AM ET and 10/18/2025 11:59 PM ET.
This bonus gives you 1.3 Virgin points per ThankYou point transferred on a Citi Strata Elite℠, Citi Strata Premier℠, Citi Prestige®, and AT&T Access More. Other eligible ThankYou cards will get 0.91 Virgin points per ThankYou point (up from 0.7 normally).
You can view past transfer bonuses to Virgin Red and past transfer bonuses to Virgin Atlantic which range as high as 40%.
Redeem for flights starting at 6,000 points. We like using points for domestic Delta flights (when there is availability!) as well as for SkyTeam flights and, of course, ANA First and Business Class flights. Virgin’s own flight rewards are dynamically priced but with high surcharges. I’d been seeing a lot of Upper Class seats from 29,000 points but I’m not seeing much now so do some homework on what you are hoping to book before transferring.
ANA First and Business class awards:
(Note that you can book one way for half the price of the points price listed.)
Valid for points transfers completed between 09/21/2025 12:01 AM ET and 10/18/2025 11:59 PM ET.
This bonus gives you 1.25 Lifemiles per point transferred on a Citi Strata Elite℠, Citi Strata Premier℠, Citi Prestige®, and AT&T Access More. Other eligible ThankYou cards will get 0.875 miles per point (up from 0.7 normally).
25% is not bad, although Citi made the same offer back and April and also last October (you can see all historical bonuses to Avianca Lifemiles from all issuers here). Many recent transfer bonuses from other credit card currencies have been just 15%.
Avianca has really been messing with its program lately. They’ve devalued twice in the last 9 months, although in the most recent devaluation all sorts of quirks emerged with pricing. For instance a business class ticket from the US to/from Europe could be 69,000 miles or it could be 80,000 miles.
All of the same issues I’ve always had around Lifemiles customer service remain. I don’t want to ever have to deal with a schedule change than needs a ticket reissued with them again, and sometimes the website shows phantom availability and phone agents are often unable to help after incredibly long hold times.
You can also stack a Lifemiles+ membership with this (from $20 / month or free if you have the Lifemiles Amex). If you found a business class ticket for 69,000 miles, after the 10% lifemiles+ discount and 25% transfer bonus, it would be a great deal at 49,680 – if you know the risks of Lifemiles bookings and are ok with that.
So, for expert Lifemiles users, this could be a great deal…. but would I speculatively transfer? Not a chance.
This transfer bonus is being run on the Qatar side, so you will not see the bonus offer on the Citi ThankYou website.
Per the promotional page on the Qatar website:
For a limited time only, you will collect up to 40% bonus Avios when converting reward points from participating partners into Avios by 15 October 2025, 23:59hrs (GMT+3).
IMPORTANT: Bonus Avios earned as part of this campaign will be credited to a Member’s Privilege Club account by 30 November 2025.
So, you may not get those bonus Avios for 1-2 months! This is a big difference between when the US bank offers a transfer bonus (bonus points are credited with the transfer) and when it’s run by the airline. I’ve seen both Qatar and Cathay Pacific specify delayed posting of the bonus which (I think) kind of ruins the deal since we never advise stockpiling – that said, you can still move these to other Avios programs later in just a few clicks, though Finnair – arguably the best of the Avios programs for sweet spots like 40K for a US transcontinental 3 cabin AA flight in First, though you’ll need to call to book – is not on that page. You’ll need to link your BA account directly to Finnair for that.
Remember that Qatar Avios has become competitive and inline with other Avois partners. It’s always worth checking whether one or another Avois partner (i.e. British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, or Aer Lingus) has a better redemption price since you can freely move between them. You can even connect your British Airways account directly inside Qatar’s website for easy and instant transfer.
SECOND IMPORTANT NOTE: Qatar has devalued their own program twice in recent months, first significantly raising the pricing for AA and Alaska awards, then by adding significant new surcharges on long haul premium awards by almost 200%. I wouldn’t transfer speculatively myself, but an Avios pro user with lots of ThankYou points might, especially with a 40% bonus.
This transfer bonus is valid until September 20, 2025.
There were four previous transfer bonuses from Citi ThankYou to Wyndham Rewards since mid-2023 and they were all for 20% except one 25% offer earlier this year.
Keep in mind that a 1.25 for 1 ratio is for Citi Strata Elite, Strata Premier, Citi Prestige and AT&T Access More cardholders only; less for the other cards).
Wyndham is a tough program to get outsized value from, so let me outline your redemption options and leave it to you whether or not this is how you want to use your Citi ThankYou points. I don’t suspect there will be a massive number of you that do so, especially now that you can transfer ThankYou points to American’s AAdvantage program.
Wyndham is not going to be a program that many (any?) should speculatively transfer to, but if you have a redemption ready to go, 25% more only makes it better.
Limited Time Offer: Cardholders with participating Citi cards can transfer ThankYou Points to Leaders Club and receive 25% Bonus Points. Offer is valid for Point Transfers to Leaders Club completed by 11:59 PM ET August 23, 2025. Promotion Terms and Conditions Apply.
A Leaders Club point is generally worth around 7.75 cents each, although that is a rough average as their hotels are dynamically priced. That gives a value of about 1.55 cents per Citi point at normal transfer rates, since you must transfer 5 Citi ThankYou points to receive one Leaders Club point.
(The stated standard transfer ratio is 1,000 Citi ThankYou for 200 Leaders Club points.)
With this bonus, you’ll get 250 Leaders Club points for 1,000 Citi ThankYou – a 25% bump. Or, put another way, you only need to transfer 4 Citi ThankYou points for 1 Leaders Club point.
Using the average of 7.75 cents per Leaders Club point, with the transfer bonus you could expect to extract about 1.90 – 2.0 cents per ThankYou point. That’s not bad at all if you have your eye on a hotel that participates in Leading Hotels of the World.
Transfer ThankYou Points to ALL – Accor Live Limitless and receive 50% bonus ALL Reward points.
Offer is valid for points transfer to ALL – Accor Live Limitless completed between 12:01 AM ET June 22, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET July 19, 2025. The promotion terms and conditions can be found in the Points Transfer Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of this page.
Citi ran this exact same transfer bonus to Accor Live Limitless (ALL) in May 2024 (see all historical transfer bonuses to Accor Live Limitless (ALL)) and their program hasn’t changed so neither has my analysis. That said, some got Accor Platinum status via a promotion from Bilt (if you are Bilt Platinum) and if you have status and plan to book direct with Accor, it becomes a bit more appealing.
Accor Live Limitless points are worth 2 Euro cents (about 2.2 US cents) towards stays.
That means that normally, transferring Citi points (or Capital One Miles) would only get you 1.1 cents in value due to the exchange rate. With this, you are getting 1.65 cents per Citi ThankYou point to redeem at their brands which include the likes of Fairmont, Raffles, MGallery, and Sofitel – 52 brands in total.
Cashing out Citi points for 1.65 cents could appeal to some.
Transfer ThankYou Points to Flying Blue and receive 20% bonus Flying Blue Miles.
Offer is valid for points transfer to Flying Blue Miles completed between 12:01 AM ET June 22, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET July 19, 2025. The promotion terms and conditions can be found in the Points Transfer Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of this page.
This is the 3rd transfer bonus offer to Air France FlyingBlue this year but first in a year for Citi.
Note that the minimum rates for some Flying Blue awards have recently increased:
Flying Blue rates are variable, so run a search before transferring. When you get lucky, business class from the US to Europe can run as low as 60,000 Flying Blue miles (up from 50,000 previously). But that would be just 48,000 credit card points during this promotion!
Flying Blue is often the best way to book Virgin Atlantic Upper Class from the US to Europe and beyond, due to the lowest taxes of any way to book Virgin Atlantic, however with Virgin’s new dynamic pricing you really have to compare the pricing on both programs as it can now be cheaper with Virgin in some cases. Flying Blue can also book Delta, KLM, and other SkyTeam members when Saver award space is available.
If you have lots of points across programs, no need to speculatively transfer due to the number of overall transfer bonuses each year.
First the details, then Dave’s Take below…
If you have a Citi Strata Premier℠, Citi Prestige® (No longer available to new applicants or by product change) or AT&T Access More (No longer available to new applicants or by product change): Transfer ThankYou Points to Wyndham Rewards points and receive 25% bonus Wyndham Rewards points. Offer is valid for points transfer to Wyndham Rewards points completed between 12:01 AM ET May 18, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET June 21, 2025.
If you have a Citi ThankYou® Preferred, Citi Rewards+®, Citi ThankYou® Mastercard®, Citi Double Cash®, AT&T Universal Rewards World, AT&T Universal Savings and Rewards, AT&T Universal Rewards, AT&T Points PlusSM Card from Citi or AT&T Access Card: You’ll get a 1:1 ratio instead of the usual 1:0.8 ratio (still 25% bonus but much less attractive). The rest of the terms are the same as above.
Why they have such random start and end dates is as much a mystery to me as to you, but I can tell you that it’s the largest transfer bonus to Wyndham we’ve seen to date.
There were three previous transfer bonuses from Citi ThankYou to Wyndham Rewards since mid-2023 and they were all for 20% (Prom Prestige and Premier; less for the other cards).. So if you are a Wyndham Rewards fan, this is for you.
However, Wyndham is a tough program to love, so let me outline your redemption options and leave it to you whether or not this is how you want to use your Cit ThankYou points. I don’t suspect there will be a massive number of you that do so.
That about covers it! We’ll also be discussing this transfer bonus in the MilesTalk Facebook group…

Per the promotional page on the Qatar website:
