Members can get a transfer bonus based on their elite status when they transfer points to Wyndham Rewards on April 1.

By status tier:

  • Blue: 25% bonus
  • Silver: 50% bonus
  • Gold: 75% bonus
  • Platinum: 100% bonus
  • Bilt Cash Upgrade: Members can use Bilt Cash to temporarily upgrade their status for $125 in Bilt Cash and access a higher tier promotion. Platinum Members will have an upgrade offer of up to 125%. Note that you can only access one tier up (i.e., Blue → Silver)

Wyndham is a tough program to get outsized value from, so let me outline your redemption options and leave it to you whether or not this is how you want to use your Bilt points. For me? No. Mostly because I don’t value their footprint.

  • Of course you can book Wyndham Rewards Hotels. These brands are generally low end, like La Quinta® by Wyndham, Super 8® by Wyndham, Days Inn® by Wyndham, and Wyndham Grand®. The highest end brand I’m aware of that they have is Dolce and have seen some nice ones. A standard award will cost 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per room (or per bedroom if applicable). If you aren’t fancy, I have seen some fantastic value where it’s a lower end property but a relatively expensive (for the property) suite for the same price as the base room. Check out the one in Saint Maarten for an example of that, though the resort has generally poor reviews. Wyndham also offers “experiences” you can book although at less than 1/3 of a cent per point, so they are a very poor value unless dumping expiring points.
  • Book Caesars Rewards properties. If you gamble you probably get good enough casino rates to make these a poor redemption but you never know. I did use once for a Las Vegas stay where the room was over $300 and I used 15,000 points. At a 100% bonus, you’d get 1 cent per Bilt point – no thanks. And even if you have a status with waived resort fees with Caesars, a stay booked via Wyndham points will incur resort fees unless….

  • Transfer points to Caesars Rewards. You can transfer up to 30,000 per calendar year and they will be worth one cent a piece (or you can redeem for slot credit but at only half a cent per point). Two notes about this: One is that it can take up to 2 weeks for the points to transfer, so you need a level of planning we aren’t really used to these days. The other is that these will reset the relevant point expiration from Wyndham. Since they expire 4 years after they are earned (and this shows in your account profile at Wyndham), if you are in that last year with no plans, this is a great way to save those points. With a 100% Bilt transfer bonus you could move 15,000 Bilt points to Wyndham transfer the resulting 30,000 to Caesars. I guess that would give you 2 cents per Bilt point if spent on food / hotel (but not on transfers to slot credit which is at 50% value). If you currently only redeem Bilt for less than 2 cents a point and want Caesars points, I guess this could be pretty respectable.

Note that Vacasa is no longer a Wyndham partner.

Wyndham is not going to be a program that many (any?) should speculatively transfer to, but if the brand works for you, it could be worth considering at the higher tiers.

Chase just launched Wyndham Rewards as a 1:1 transfer partner (Citi ThankYou and Capital One also transfer to Wyndham) and they are kicking it off with a 30% transfer bonus through March 31.

Wyndham is a tough program to get outsized value from, so let me outline your redemption options and leave it to you whether or not this is how you want to use your Chase points, even at a 30% bonus which beats most Wyndham transfer bonuses of 20%-25%. I find much higher value with other programs like Hyatt.

This transfer bonus is valid until 11:59PM on March 21 2026.

There have been five previous transfer bonuses from Citi ThankYou to Wyndham Rewards since mid-2023 and they were all for 20% except two 25% offers in 2025.

Keep in mind that only Citi Strata Elite℠, Strata℠ Premier, Citi Prestige and AT&T Access More cardholders get a full 1.25 Wyndham Rewards points per ThankYou point. Other cards get the 25% bonus on their normal, lower transfer ratios.

Wyndham is a tough program to get outsized value from, so let me outline your redemption options and leave it to you whether or not this is how you want to use your Citi ThankYou points. I don’t suspect there will be a massive number of you that do so, especially now that you can transfer ThankYou points to American’s AAdvantage program.

  • Book Vacassa vacation rentals. This used to be THE reason to accumulate Wyndham points. Great deals on vacation rentals. Unfortunately too many people started booking despite an arduous process to book by phone and they devalued this redemption once in 2023 and again in 2024.There are now two rental tiers (priced per bedroom):
    • Rentals with an average cost of $250/night will be 15,000 points per bedroom per night.
    • Rentals with an average cost of $500/night will be 30,000 points per bedroom per night.

First the details, then Dave’s Take below…

If you have a Citi Strata Premier℠, Citi Prestige® (No longer available to new applicants or by product change) or AT&T Access More (No longer available to new applicants or by product change): Transfer ThankYou Points to Wyndham Rewards points and receive 25% bonus Wyndham Rewards points. Offer is valid for points transfer to Wyndham Rewards points completed between 12:01 AM ET May 18, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET June 21, 2025.

If you have a Citi ThankYou® Preferred, Citi Rewards+®, Citi ThankYou® Mastercard®, Citi Double Cash®, AT&T Universal Rewards World, AT&T Universal Savings and Rewards, AT&T Universal Rewards, AT&T Points PlusSM Card from Citi or AT&T Access Card: You’ll get a 1:1 ratio instead of the usual 1:0.8 ratio (still 25% bonus but much less attractive). The rest of the terms are the same as above.

Why they have such random start and end dates is as much a mystery to me as to you, but I can tell you that it’s the largest transfer bonus to Wyndham we’ve seen to date.

There were three previous transfer bonuses from Citi ThankYou to Wyndham Rewards since mid-2023 and they were all for 20% (Prom Prestige and Premier; less for the other cards).. So if you are a Wyndham Rewards fan, this is for you.

However, Wyndham is a tough program to love, so let me outline your redemption options and leave it to you whether or not this is how you want to use your Cit ThankYou points. I don’t suspect there will be a massive number of you that do so.

Transfer ThankYou Points to Wyndham Rewards and receive a 20% Bonus in Wyndham Rewards points. Offer is valid for Point Transfers to Wyndham Rewards completed by 11:59 PM ET November 16, 2024.

That means that Citi Strata Premier and Citi Prestige cardholders get a 1,200 Wyndham points for 1,000 Citi while Citi ThankYou® Preferred, Citi Rewards+®, Sears Mastercard, Citi Double Cash®, AT&T Universal Rewards World, AT&T Universal Savings and Rewards, AT&T Universal Rewards, AT&T Points PlusSM Card from Citi or AT&T Access Card Cardmembers get 960 Wyndham points for every 1,000 Citi points transferred.

(Wyndham is one of the few programs the no fee ThankYou cards can transfer to without having a Premier or Prestige, but note the lackluster transfer ratio.)

Also note that Citi ran the same transfer bonus this summer.

Wyndham isn’t a super popular program on its own, but there is value to be found if you hunt hard enough. That said, I don’t think this transfer is for 99% of people, and DEFINITELY not for the cards that transfer at less than 1:1.

Wyndham points are generally worth about a penny each. Here are some ways you can potentially get more value:

  • You can book not just Wyndham brand hotels but also Caesars Rewards properties. Wyndham does have some very nice properties but you do have to hunt. The Dolce Collection is one.
  • You can book Vacassa vacation rentals (however, only by phone, at 15,000 points per bedroom if the per bedroom equivalent price is under $250 or 30,000 points per night if the rate is over $250 and under $500). All rates are inclusive of any taxes and fees.  You’re getting 1.67 cents per point if perfectly maxed out and with this 20 percent bonus you would be getting 2 cents per ThankYou point in value. Not bad.
  • You can transfer points directly to Caesars Rewards (the better way to book Caesars since if you are Diamond and book directly, you won’t pay resort fees). This would give you 1.2 cents each. And if your Wyndham points are close to expiration, this could be a good move since they hard expire after 4 years (cannot be extended), but a transfer would reset that.

If you are on the Status Match Merry Go Round and need some Caesars Rewards credits (for example, to access Laurel Lounges), you can transfer from Wyndham to Caesars. Just bear in mind this transfer can take up to a week, so you can’t do this once you are on property.

A better use is on Vacassa vacation rentals. While you do need to book by phone (866-996-7937) and you may have trouble finding an agent that even knows how to do it, the value can be pretty sweet. That’s because you will pay 15,000 points per bedroom. That could mean you pay 30,000 points for a nice two bedroom cabin somewhere – or it could mean a house with just one “technical” bedroom could be a huge value at 15,000 points. But you’ll have to also be aware that you cannot cancel a Vacassa reservation within 30 days of travel (yes, that kind of stinks!) and you seem to not be able to book a base rate over about $325 per bedroom.

Lastly, you can book Wyndham properties (of course!) directly online with a range of 7,5000 to 30,000 points per night (all hotels are 7,500, 15,000 or 30,000 points per night).
