And here is a link to historical transfer bonuses specifically from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy. We did see 70% last summer, but other than that 65% is pretty much h as high as it gets while the second tier 50% offer is average.
That said, this is almost never a good transfer unless you are topping off for an award you are ready to book. Keep in mind that we value a Chase point at roughly 3X the value of a Marriott Bonvoy point.
However, there are always exceptions and you might find a 5 night stay (5th night free) where the transfer makes sense so do the math – but you likely do not want to transfer speculatively unless you are a Bonvoy pro and believe you will exceed value you can get via other Ultimate Rewards partners.
When Chase launched a transfer bonus last month to Marriott Bonvoy of 65% until June 30th and 50% from now until August 15th, I wasn’t overly enthusiastic. That’s because a Chase Ultimate Rewards point is worth approximately 3X a Marriott point.
So you can imagine that a 20% bonus *really* does not move the needle for me. You can read my analysis at 50-65% here and then assume how much less I’d advise the transfer at 20% unless you are literally about to make a booking and need points to top off your account and have Amex points but not Chase points.
This is almost never a good transfer unless you are topping off for an award you are ready to book. Keep in mind that we value a Chase Ultimate Rewards point at roughly 3X the value of a Marriott Bonvoy point.

Amex is running a very short transfer bonus for Member Week to Marriott Bonvoy. Unfortunately, it’s not a very compelling offer, despite the short timeframe.
For one, an Amex point is worth around 2.5X a Marriott Bonvoy point. So you are getting 25% more while you’d need a 150% bonus to breakeven on point value.
For another, we have seen various transfer bonuses from Chase and American Express to Marriott Bonvoy many times before, racing from 20%-50%, so this is not even at the high end of the range. So this bonus isn’t going to be compelling for most.
As always, there can be exceptions and you might find a 5 night stay (5th night free) where the transfer makes sense, so do the math – but you likely do not want to transfer speculatively unless you are a Bonvoy pro and believe you will exceed value you can get via other, higher value, partners.
We have seen past bonuses from Chase and American Express of up to 70%, so while 35% seems like a large bonus, it’s in the midrange of historical bonuses. (See historical transfer bonuses to Marriott Bonvoy).

This offer runs through the end of 2024, so no rush to decide.
Chase JUST finished a 70% transfer bonus August 15th. So be aware of that.

This is a two week old transfer bonus and higher than most bonuses to Marriott Bonvoy which have typically been 40-50%.
That said, it doesn’t make it a great deal.

This is almost never a good transfer unless you are topping off for an award you are ready to book. Amex point are worth 3X what a Bonvoy point is worth.
Could be nice for a 5 night stay (5th night free) but do the math first and don’t transfer speculatively.
Remember that as of 2023, Marriott’s program is revenue based (no more award charts).
