Get a 30% transfer bonus when you transfer Capital One Miles to I Prefer.

Get a 30% bonus (1,000 Capital One Miles =2,600 I Prefer Points) when you transfer by March 31st, 2026.

The first thing to note is that the standard transfer rate from Capital One to I Prefer is 1:2. If you have Citi ThankYou points, those transfer at twice the rate – 1:4 (!). That means this transfer bonus, which brings the Capital One ratio to 1:2.6 is still not nearly as good as the standard Citi transfer rate.

I Prefer is not a super popular program and points are *generally* in the half a cent range, but I’ve seen some pretty wide value ranges, from less than half a cent to closer to 0.75 cents.

Still, only consider if you don’t have Citi ThankYou points and have an award in mind. Also keep in mind that Choice Privileges points can also book some, but not all, Preferred Hotels and Resorts, and that even I Prefer points cannot book all Preferred Hotels and Resorts properties – so search first. I’ll also note that there is no way to book higher than a standard room with points.
