If you’ve been considering a Capital One Spark Cash family card, this may be your sign.
The Spark Cash, with just a $95 annual fee (even better, it’s $0 the first year then $95 after that), is boasting an offer for $1,000 cash plus a $250 Capital One Business Travel credit when you spend $10,000 within 3 months.
It’s not an insignificant amount of spend, however, most businesses are probably spending over $3,333 a month so is it really that high in context? You’re also earning 2% back on that $10,000 in spend, so once you finish the early spend bonus, you’ll be sitting on $1,200 cash back.
The previous offer gave the $1,000 but lacked the extra $250 travel credit.

The Spark Cash Plus, a charge card designed for businesses with higher spend needing no preset spending limit, has a higher offer, but with higher required spend and a slightly higher annual fee ($150). This card is offering $2,000 and a $500 Capital One Business Travel credit after spending $30,000 in 3 months. Like the Spark Cash, the offer starts off like the previous offer, but the $500 travel credit is an add-on. That’s a real extra $500 on top of the $2,000 cash.
If you have a lot of non-bonus category business spend, this works out to $2,500 in bonus value on top of the $600 earned from spend, or $3,100 total value – more than a 10% rebate on spend.
