Marriott Bonvoy Credit Cards from American Express and Chase
There are a total of 5 Marriott Bonvoy credit cards available with two issued by Chase and three issued by American Express.
The Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card is the no-annual fee version, by Chase and comes with 15 elite night credits per calendar year and no foreign transaction fees.
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card, also by Chase, comes with a modest annual fee and also gives 15 elite night credits per calendar year and no foreign transaction fees. For the fee, though, you’ll earn more at Marriott hotels (6X points) and get an annual free night certificate valid at any hotel priced at 35,000 Bonvoy points or less.
The Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card is a mid-tier Bonvoy card that lies in between the $95 annual fee Bonvoy Amex (available only by product change from a Bonvoy Brilliant or Bevy) and the Bonvoy Brilliant.
The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card is very similar to the Bonvoy Boundless card above, however this small business credit card has the added bonus of earning 4x Bonvoy points at US restaurants, gas stations, shipping, and wireless telephone service. If you have a small business (or even a side hustle – read about eligibility here), this may be the best choice for you.
The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card, by Amex, is the super luxury (high annual fee of $650) version of the consumer cards, offering everything the Boundless card above does, but with an additional $300 annual credit given as 12 monthly $25 statement credits for dining, Platinum status, 25 elite nights, and a free night certificate valid at hotels priced at up to 85,000 points rather than 35,000.
Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status gets you free breakfast (or Executive Lounge access and free breakfast in the Executive lounge if the hotel has one) at most full service Bonvoy properties (Ritz Carlton and EDITION are excluded). You also get a guaranteed 4pm late checkout at all Bonvoy hotels unless they are a resort or conference hotel.
Please be aware that both Chase and American Express have restrictions on bonus eligibility if you already have the other issuer’s cards. On top of that, the Chase cards are subject to the Chase 5/24 rule and the American Express cards will only offer you a welcome bonus once per lifetime.

The Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card is Chase's "no fee" entrant into the lineup of Marriott Bonvoy credit cards. It is similar to the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card but with no annual fee and no annual free night certificate. It also earns considerably less points per dollar spent.
Note When calculating your Estimated Rewards Values, Hotel spend will be considered "spend at Marriott Bonvoy hotels" for the purposes of calculating your potential reward values (in this case, 3X). Hotel spend at other brands will not earn the bonus multiplier and would only earn 2X Bonvoy points (the rate for all other travel).
