🎁 Bonus offer
Earn 90,000 bonus points after you spend $8,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
This is a sort of odd one in my opinion… the bonus is 65% until June 30. Starting July 1 through August 15, the bonus drops to 50%.
Get 65% bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points between 12:00 AM ET on June 15, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET on June 30, 2025. When the early bird offer ends, get 50% bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points between 12:00 AM ET on July 1, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET on August 15, 2025. Bonus points will be awarded by Marriott Bonvoy in your Marriott Bonvoy account up to 7 days after your transfer is complete.
Here is a link to historical transfer bonuses to Marriott Bonvoy.
And here is a link to historical transfer bonuses specifically from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy. We did see 70% last summer, but other than that 65% is pretty much h as high as it gets while the second tier 50% offer is average.
That said, this is almost never a good transfer unless you are topping off for an award you are ready to book. Keep in mind that we value a Chase point at roughly 3X the value of a Marriott Bonvoy point.
However, there are always exceptions and you might find a 5 night stay (5th night free) where the transfer makes sense so do the math – but you likely do not want to transfer speculatively unless you are a Bonvoy pro and believe you will exceed value you can get via other Ultimate Rewards partners.
Get 20% Bonus Aeroplan® points when you transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards®points between 12:00 AM ET on June 5, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET on July 17, 2025. Bonus points will be awarded by Aeroplan in your Aeroplan account after your transfer is complete. Promotional offer terms and conditions apply.
Note that if you have the Aeroplan® Credit Card you can get up to 30% bonus Aeroplan points (20% from the limited time offer and an extra 10% for being a Cardmember). To get the additional 10% bonus, Chase Aeroplan Cardmembers need to transfer a minimum of 50,000 points or more from Chase Ultimate Rewards® to Aeroplan, up to a maximum of 25,000 bonus Aeroplan points per calendar year. Bonus points will be awarded by Aeroplan in your Aeroplan account after your transfer is complete.
Here is a list of historical transfer bonuses to Aeroplan. They are generally from 20-30%, but the last few have been 20%.
Aeroplan sweet spots: No fuel surcharges; just a $39CAD booking fee. Lap infant just $25CAD. Can book Etihad and Emirates (although Emirates F is priced at unbookable price levels) as well as Star Alliance flights. Add a stopover for just 5,000 miles!

Since AAdvantage moved to revenue based redemptions, they are a bit less valuable than they used to be. However, they can still book First and Business Class seats on oneworld partner airlines like Qatar Airways and Japan Airlines, and we also find that they can have occasional deals with forward cabin seats on American.

Hyatt award rates range from 3,500 to 45,000 points per night at their regular hotels and resorts. At all-inclusive resorts and Miraval, the prices can reach as high as 58,000 points per night, Almost without fail, during even remotely peak times, we can find roughly 2 cents per point in value. You can even book Suites for incrementally more points (Premium Suite costs twice as much as a room, for example). I tend to find these are one of the best ways to spend Chase Ultimate Rewards points which transfer 1:1. They are the only major hotel program in the US with fixed award charts making it a great program to be able to set goals for your redemptions..

- Important travel and purchase coverages, including baggage delay insurance, trip delay reimbursement and purchase protection
Pros
- No annual fee
- Automatic Silver elite status in the Marriott Bonvoy program and 15 elite night credits every year
- Earn 6X Bonvoy points at participating Marriott hotels
Cons
- Marriott Bonvoy Silver elite status won't get you much besides priority late checkout
- The card doesn't come with a Marriott free night award
- The earning rate on non-Marriott purchases is mediocre (2x points on travel purchases and 1x points on all other eligible purchases)
While Marriott Bonvoy dropped all award charts in favor of a dynamic pricing system, it hasn't gotten out of hand and the 5th night free on awards can still provide outsized value. It's also hard to beat the breadth of Marriott Bonvoy properties all over the world.

IHG, home of hotel brands like Intercontinental and Holiday Inn, generally provide about four tenths of a cent in value, following a 2021 devaluation and move to fully dynamic award pricing. I'll redeem when I can get more than that. While you can transfer from Chase Ultimate Rewards to IHG, you really never should as you are cutting the value in half as they transfer 1:1. There is no cap on any hotel rates in points like with Hilton. If you have an IHG Premier or Business Premier credit card, you'll get the 4th night free on rewards which can add significant value.
