Card Features and Benefits:
A great Amex card for flights and prepaid hotels which earn 5x American Express Membership Rewards points, and for large expenses over $5,000 which earn 1.5x American Express Membership Rewards points.
But the Business Platinum Card is more about the benefits...
The Amex Business Platinum Card is Loaded with Benefits
- Get a suite of benefits that include Gold Hilton status, Gold Marriott status, the American Express Global Lounge Collection which includes Centurion, Delta, and Priority Pass Lounge access, Fine Hotels and Resorts benefits, and a $200 annual incidental airfare credit.
- 10 Gogo flight passes annually for in-flight Wi-Fi are included each year.
- You'll also get $100 in free Dell credits twice annually (Jan-June and July-Dec) and a free year of WeWork Platinum Access.
WeWork Platinum Access Comes with the Amex Business Platinum Card (Must Register by Dec 31, 2019)
A bit more on the above benefit, we this website is based out of a WeWork and we know a thing or two....
If you bought a Hot Desk at a local WeWork, you'd pay no less than around $300 a month ($3,600 a year). The cheapest you could do is a $45 ($540 a year) a month option which would get you all of one day a month in a WeWork common space.
So bearing in mind that the best you can do directly is one day a month for $540 a year, you can see why paying the $595 annual fee on the American Express Business Platinum card and getting free UNLIMITED access to WeWork workspaces globally is huge.
For just $55 more than buying a year of "one day a month" WeWork access, you can have unlimited (during normal business hours from 9-6) access.
On top of that you'll get all of the other Amex Business Platinum Card benefits detailed in this article, like the $200 annual airfare credit and the $200 a year Dell credit.
The free year is a one-off benefit, but well worth the price of admission, so to speak...
The Amex Business Platinum Card earns Membership Rewards Points
Membership Rewards points earned on Amex cards can be transferred to 19 airlines and hotels. Amex is the only transferable credit card currency that can transfer to Japanese airline ANA, which offers great award rates on "Round The World" bookings in Business Class. See all transfer partners.
Also, when you redeem your points for travel through the American Express Travel portal, you will get 35% of your points rebated on one airline of your choice for economy tickets and on all airlines for Business Class and First Class tickets.
This card has a lot of features and benefits that you need to make sure you both understand and register for, but once you do the annual fee can be well worthwhile.
