Cell Phone Protection
By paying your monthly cell phone bill with the Delta Platinum card, you’ll receive cell phone coverage to protect against theft or damage, up to $800 per claim. You can file a maximum of two claims per year, and you’ll need to pay a $50 deductible for each approved claim.

Extended Warranty
If an item you purchase with your Delta Platinum card comes with a manufacturer’s warranty of five years or less, the extended warranty benefit allows you to receive up to one additional year of coverage.
The coverage maximums are quite high at $10,000 per claim, or up to $50,000 per card member account annually.

The card’s purchase protection offers reimbursement or replacement for an item you purchase that is stolen or damaged within 90 days of purchase. You can file a claim and receive up to $1,000 per claim, or up to $50,000 in claims annually per card member account.

Baggage Insurance
Your Delta Amex credit card’s baggage insurance means coverage for lost, stolen or damaged bags. While it’s unlikely that you’ll have to tap into either trip protection very often, you’ll be glad you’re protected in case of travel emergencies.

Baggage Insurance Plan coverage can be in effect for Eligible Persons for eligible lost, damaged, or stolen Baggage during their travel on a Common Carrier (e.g. plane, train, ship, or bus) when the entire fare for a Common Carrier Vehicle ticket for the trip (one-way or round-trip) is charged to an eligible Account.
