Credit Card Transfer Bonuses for August 2026 (Plus Our Famous Alerts)

There have been five transfer bonuses from Chase to IHG One Rewards in 2025 early 2026. One was 100%, two were 80%, and two were 70%. This bonus is on the lowest end of the range.

We value IHG Rewards points at 0.4 cents and Chase Ultimate Rewards at 1.75 cents, so this is far from a slam dunk and we’d advise to only transfer if you’ve already found a great redemption.

And that does happen! When researching IHG Rewards during elevated offers on the two co-branded IHG credit cards that offer 4th night free, we have occasionally found points to be worth just over a cent each meaning you could get around 2 cents in value from this transfer bonus. Still, you have to hunt for the outsized redemptions, so caution is advised

You also may be looking to “top up” an existing IHG Rewards balance for a reward stay and this would be an opportune time.

But as a general rule, we find that one Chase Ultimate Rewards point is at least 4 times more valuable than  IHG Rewards points, so, again, do your homework before transferring and make sure you have a deal lined up – ideally using the 4th night free benefit from a co-branded credit card.

Get 100% Bonus IHG One Rewards points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points between 12:00 AM ET on August 16, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET on September 4, 2025.

Yet we value IHG Rewards points at 0.4 cents and Chase Ultimate Rewards at 1.75 cents, so this is far from a slam dunk and we’d advise to only transfer if you’ve already found a great redemption.

We see transfer bonuses from Chase to IHG ranging from 60% to 80% approximately twice a year.

Get 70% Bonus IHG One Rewards points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points between 12:00 AM ET on December 4, 2024 and 11:59 PM ET on January 15, 2025.

This is the 3rd transfer bonus from Chase to IHG One Rewards this year. One was 60% and one was 80%. This is right in between at 70%.

My same thinking applies whether 60%, 70% or 80%.

Do some sample searches before considering this bonus as we value an IHG point around 0.4 cents and a Chase point around 1.75 cents making the math here hard to justify. It’s a bit better if you have an IHG Premier or IHG Business Premier credit card which gives the 4th night free on awards.

This is probably one to sit out unless you have your finger on the trigger of a redemption that is getting you as much value as a Chase point. Could be useful for a “top off” for an award.
